Live in 49 of the 50 U.S. states. Also found in Mexico, and parts of Canada. 
 
Diet 
Insects, seeds, fruits, and nuts 
 
Role in Ecosystem 
Control the pest population and spread plants from their droppings. 
 
Behavior 
Can be aggressive for territorial porpoises o mating rituals. 

Human Impact

The human impacts on the wild turkey is very crucial to its survival. This is  because it drives the species to extinction due to the habitat destruction and over hunting. This is bad for the turkey and can drastically switch the whole food web.

The turkey pecks the ground for some seeds 
Still finding food is what he needs 
He puffs his chest and spreads his tail 
Dragging his wings like a heavy sail 
When he hears a rustle in the weeds 
The turkey runs through the bushes with graceful speeds 
He flaps his wings on a branch so high 
To sleep safe and sound beneath the sky 
The turkey puffs up his feathers in a sandy hole 
To keep himself clean as his daily goal
