The duckweed provides energy to herbivores and also filters water for other animals to drink or swim in. The duckweed also creates shade for other animals.

Behavior
Duckweeds have a rapid reproduction rate and It is controlled by grassland carp in some situations.

Human Impact

Herbicides and pesticides may poison animals that eat duckweed. Growing it to sell for over $100 – $400. Early harvesting causes smaller plants. Also a duckweed is sustainable, a food source for other animals, and highly Nutritious. People can pull duckweeds out of the water making the water not filtered. People also pollute the water that the duckweed grows in, causing less good water for the duckweed to process and use in mandatory processes.
