Watching the downtown area grow has been amazing. When I arrived in 2004, the storefronts were maybe half filled and there were only a few good restaurants in the area. Now there are many, alums with a number of specialty clothing stores, gift shops, ice cream shops, and other businesses. I would never have predicated the kind of downtown renewal we have experienced. It has been almost inspirational to witness, and the town is now a vibrant place to live.
