One Percent Better

Collection:

Prompt:

After five months of inconsistency in staying fit, I had a workout planned with Jaillien and my closest friend, Jordin. When I walked in, I felt no grasp of A/C. We ended off on resistant sprints, which is when you have a resistant band around your hips, and someone is pulling you back while you are in form of sprinting.

Jaillien was pulling us back for resistance to get us more explosive on our sprints and stride. The second round of doing it, according to Jaillien, I didn’t pass the line. I was really frustrated as shit and didn’t want to restart. But unfortunately, I had to because I know I’m not just going to quit. He was encouraging me and yelling at me to keep going. I was mumbling under my breath at first, “Shut up, I’m doing it” because I was overly gassed and wanted a break. “Keep going, it’s not always going to be easy and come to you.” He said. “I PASSED THE DAMN LINE”. Yelling, as I am continuing to proceed forward. Jaillien, after the set was finished, smiled, quoting “One Percent better every day…”
