My least favorite was my 4th-grade math teacher, whose name was Mrs. Hunter.
Mrs. Hunter was tall and beautiful. She was a brunette who always wore her hair up, but she never smiled. She was elegant as a model, but her face showed meanness and cruelty. We often wondered as 4th graders why she taught if she didn’t like kids. We were amazed to learn that she was married and had two small children.
What was their life like? We couldn’t imagine being the wife or the child of the evil and mean Mrs. Hunter. Yeah, she never smiled. She was beautiful; she definitely could have been a New York model, but she never smiled, and everybody was like, She hates kids. And, you know, she would be one that’s like pointing at you.
And we were always, like, scared of her. And one day, we found her husband brought her children to school. And we’re like, “What, somebody married her?”
