More than 60,000 people (the citizens of Georgetown County) took a chance on me in 2008 by allowing me to serve as their county administrator. I had no previous experience in public administration, only a passion for Georgetown County, a desire to shape the future of my home and the homes of my children and grandchildren (14). Having worked in several of my family’s businesses, I had always been taught the value of customer service and that’s how I tried to treat the citizens of Georgetown County. I thank you all for taking a chance on me, and I hope we made a positive impact for years to come–
