Writing My Book

Collection:

Prompt: Focus on a single memory of collaboration: who was there, how did you feel, and what was accomplished?

In writing my book, ‘A Life That Mattered’ my brother was my editor. Growing up he never studied or brought books home from school. He graduated high school and joined the Marines. Prior to retiring from the Marines, he got his degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago, in History.

After retirement, he went on to teach at Wilmington Community College. When I made the decision to self-publish my book he agreed to edit so we would spend many late nights going over sections of the book discussing how we could improve it.
