The highway 23 yard sell which encases not only Batesburg-Leesville but other towns and counties as well. Traffic was an issue, the entire length of the yardsell was two lanes, going through towns, urban communities and rural areas. The constant slow down of traffic presented time consumption, frustration and safety.  

The solution was to patrol the area, prevention of traffic issues had to be addressed and the use of a large plot of land to set up a large yard sell area.
