In the 1960s, plastics were on the rise. Chemical plants formed daily throughout U.S. & the world. My stepfather was a chemical engineer who came home with pint sized container of very smelly, goopy goo. The smell made noses tickle & eyes water. He used the goop (plastic) to repair our bicycle seats, household repairs, and more. The whole neighborhood visited our home for “goop.”
