The COVID pandemic was a major challenge to our city, state, and nation. As president of CAVA (our art guild), we did what we were able to stay open with greatly restrictive rules to be inside with our community. As a part of the visitor’s center and art gallery, we all worked together in innovative ways to stay open. This occurred at all 501-c-3’s I am affiliated with. Served as CAVA president for 14 years, Chaps Board 20 years, Lions Club International 7-year membership, in all groups I had a leadership role. And working together, everyone doing their part to be “as normal” as possible. We raised the most pressing issues, and we survived. We still have reminders, and a rebuilding mode, to continue growth and healing, and I believe our future looks bright.
