There is a lot of poverty in our community and a lot of food insecurity. Recognizing this, a couple, Ann and Roger Conggs , established the community kitchen to provide meals to the needy. It has been past efforts with different business clubs, or providing meals on different days. In this way, it has bridged cultural divides in the community and brought people together to converse and interact. They show movies, have Bible school, and provide Christmas presents. There are a lot of people. Everyone wants to help, but many just don’t know. Now this gives people a way to be. They don’t reinvent the need. I may just volunteer.
