As a co-director of a museum in AR- a pioneer cabin moved from an area that would be flooded to make a lake. I, along with the other director, decided to decorate the cabin as it would have been. Many people in the community donated items to us helping to decorate the cabin. We made one back corner into a kitchen using what was donated to make it look like a kitchen in pioneer times with seasonal items that would be used in a kitchen at that time. It brought many visitors to the cabin who would ask what the items were, so people could learn what living at that time was like.
