My friend from home, Kara, is a college dropout. Her days were once spent waking up at 8:00 am, attending classes, and studying for her tests. She thought she was confident in her marketing major. All through high school, she prepared for college. She decorated her dorm, she wrote essays, and she made plans to travel. In a couple weeks, however, all of those plans were now irrelevant. Something was off, and she could tell. Kara started to second-guess her decisions and plan for a college that she became uninterested in and for a major that she wasn’t passionate about.

Now, Kara wakes up and gets ready for her part-time job of working at a daycare. She cares for her nephew and loves to look after the toddlers. She spends her breaks studying for her tech school and researching different services to provide her potential clients with. While she loves her job and it’s a great jump start to get her into the working community, she strives to land a job with a closer connection to her passion. She applied for jobs at Ulta, Sweet and Sassy, and at European Wax Center. In her mind, the more experience she can gather, the better, as she is preparing for her future.
