Matt Houge, who has worked in broadcasting for a long time, has a very confident voice. He is confident in what he is talking about because he knows he is right. From years of studying and learning about the sports he needed to know about for his job, he has a lot of knowledge in the game.
He sounds like a TV, a deep southern accent, who talks not too slow, but not too fast. He has learned how to talk like that from years of experience being on air and getting criticism and feedback from when he was learning how to become one of the greats. Also, from being an athletic director, he is very persuasive and can use words to his advantage to make a listener believe in whatever he is saying. Along with that, he is also very educational. Now, being a professor in the college he’s worked at for so long, he has a lot of experience under his belt and is able to share that with the next generation of students who want to go into sports media.
