One time, I was told by a professor that it seemed like I had no idea who I was. I didn’t know what to think. There were so many versions of myself that everyone wanted me to be. So, instead of trying to please everyone, I just picked the one I felt the most peace with. Anyone who disagreed with my choice could choose to just accept me or move on. I lost friends, I lost trust in some mentors, but I became a person. Before, there was a tunnel leading to nowhere but darkness. Now I see a lit path, and I’m ready to walk it.
