The first crop. Was how to make a garden. How to plant cotton, corn, wheat, and how to harvest grain. The fields were 10-12 acers. The buds on the corn were stripped down to feed the mules in the winter. Harvest the wheat was carried to the mill to be ground up to make meal (corn) wheat (flour).
