My First Crop

Collection:

Prompt: What was the first crop you or your family learned to grow? What was it? What did it look like? What’s the story/history behind it?

Upon recalling the spring planting season, the most valued, the most reliable crop planted by my family corn, although we often hear of the history of corn coming from the Feast of thanksgiving, and the survival of the early colonists depended of this crop.

We can use corn as ground meal, etc. We can use corn as livestock feed. We can use corn for freezing and out very own meals. We can sell corn to local markets. Corn can be used a s cooking oil, etc. The use of corn as a dependable crop is very apparent.
