I recall my grandmother’s stories of traveling to Assembly Street in Columbia back in the early 1900s. Carring produce, canned item, even small livestock like chickens, and eggs. She spoke of each travel by wagon and later stories of a vehicle. How the trip took so long and wearing hands as the value of the items they need to sell. Perhaps this trip was less adventurous and were of Necessity.
