Our mom always talks about “things happen in threes,” and that “the three of you should never travel together.”
So, in life, nothing has happened. However, for most of the warnings she has given us, she’s been on target with them. So now I spend my time always waiting for the third or more tragic incident to happen. And all of my sibling’s kind of adhere to that same warning about “things happen in threes” and “three of you should never travel together.”
So, if there’s a family trip to anything, three of us never travel together, especially on a plane. Just last week, when my family traveled to San Antonio to see the NCAA championship, family traveled out of different airports, some out of Charlotte, Greenville and Atlanta, so if more than two had to fly out of the same airport, we had to catch different flights, to keep mama at ease as well, because we’re just fearful of the warning she has given us, and so that’s kind of like my Grey Man Warning. But nothing has ever happened, so hopefully it won’t.
