Sunday Dinners: Around the Table

Communal Pen workshops are at the heart of what we do. Each workshop has a facilitator team and thoughtful prompts with the goal of creating community connection. Read more of our details below of this workshop.

Sunday Dinners are more than just meals; they’re traditions, memories, and family reunions served at the table week after week. For some, it was a mid-day gathering after church; for others, a cozy evening meal that capped the weekend. These dinners carried favorite side dishes, familiar rituals, and the chance to reconnect with the people who mattered most.

In this Communal Pen workshop, participants will reflect on their own Sunday dinner traditions through guided prompts and storytelling. Who hosted in your family? What dishes were always present? What rules or rituals shaped the day? Together we’ll write recipes for the perfect Sunday dinner, rich with memory, flavor, and love.
