Conway: Past, Present, Future

Communal Pen workshops are at the heart of what we do. Each workshop has a facilitator team and thoughtful prompts with the goal of creating community connection. Read more of our details below of this workshop.

Whether you’ve been in Conway all your life or you just moved here, share your stories of Conway’s changes.

This special Communal Pen session invites Conway residents, new and old, to come together and reflect on the moments of Conway’s rapid development from small town to up-and-coming city. Through guided writing prompts and conversation, we’ll explore the key moments of how Conway has changed through the eyes of its residents, new and old. This event is held in collaboration with a book project from The Athenaeum Press at Coastal Carolina University that documents Mayor Barbara Blain and the rapid development of Conway.

No writing experience is needed; just bring your stories, your memories, and your sense of community. Together, we’ll honor the people and places, past and present, that keep Conway alive.
