K-12 I lived those 40 miles from
5th Ave NYC. As a typical female teen, shopping
was a priority. It was easy to hook
up w/a GF, hop on the LIRR and go
shopping at Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdales
etc on any given Saturday.
My suburban living ended w/HS when
I went to a rural college in WV and it’s
Been rural living ever since.
Look out the window – there are no
Macy’s, or Bloomingdales out here. When I
Moved to B’well 25+ yrs ago – a + feature
Was Walmart. The 1st 3 months living in B’well
we’d go back to Augusta every weekend

The formative years of female shopping instincts
were well homed in the K-12 years – and are
deeped seated to crave more shopping opportunities
than B’well can ever offer & so now thank God
for Amazon
