I would evaluate our networks and connections.
Where is our community divided, and
by what? Is it physical , or relational?
How can we build a bridge to overcome
each divide? Because what I believe is
important and needed may not be what
my neighbors think is so.
But one step towards physical connectivity
would be complete streets -- and not just in
downtown, affluent areas. Sidewalks,
inactivity trees and storefronts, bike lanes,
slow speeds. Promoting people’s ability
to move freely, without needing a car,
to reach the resources they need easily.
