Well, I was raised in England, so Christmas cakes and Christmas puddings were made on, I think it was usually the last weekend in November, which I think is the first Sunday in Advent in the Christian calendar, and that was a time we used to call it Stir Sunday. And every family all got together to make Christmas cakes and Christmas puddings, which were then fed with alcohol until Christmas. That was kind of an activity and a food that I associated with Christmas, but now I just buy them. I’m alone, you know, I don’t have a lot of people around for Christmas.
But, there are lots of things, though, about Christmas meals, because we used to have a lot of people around for Christmas, and that meant a lot of cooking goes with it. But the turkey was so big that it didn’t fit in our oven, used to be taken to the baker to be cooked.
