I’ve never been a fan of poetry. I will read it, yet I seem to have a hard time understanding it. When I do think about poetry, I think about Nikki Giovanni, however, her poems were so deep, like Quilting The Black Eyed Pea. It wasn’t until her death last year, I finally understood what she was saying in that poem. It’s about learning from our past and her dreams about the future world.
Last night, I had to prepare a marketing post about National Poetry Month, which will be next month, in April. So, I put together three words for that post, rhythm, rhyme, and art for honoring poetry.
