In August of 2017, there was a total eclipse that happened, and we were in the direct line of totality for it. I was actually about to start my first semester of college at the College of Charleston, so I went down to the Battery. And, of course, there were a lot of people there. I remember the water moved really oddly. It was like the waves just kind of collapsed into each other very softly. It was very weird. But when the moon totally went in front of the sun, I feel like everything was just very quiet, everyone was holding their breath, just total silence for a little bit.
