Many owls are hit by cars at night, often while hunting along roadsides. 

Owls are killed by power lines and tangled in fences (mainly barbed wire). 

Creative Exploration

The great horned owl was perched on a tree and found a little mouse and a rabbit  and tried to sneak up on them both but failed and the rabbit and mouse hid in a tree stump and after eating other little animals for the whole week it hit the jackpot again captured both of them and sucked the nutrience out of them for its water and its food because great horned owl gets its food and water from animals blood.
