Biological Overview

Habitat  

Beavers live in ponds, swamps and in streams. Beavers can be found in 46 states and Alaska.  

Diet  

Sticks, leaves and inner bark of trees  

Role in Ecosystem  

Their dams are constructed with sticks, logs, and mud; they help with stopping floods and helping with shelter and food.  

Behavior  

Beavers mainly work together and create their dams together. They all also help with looking for food and shelter. 

Human Impact

Humans have impacted a lot on Beavers. This can show how we can save beaver population to increase instead of decrease. One reason we can save beavers is by recycling, this helps beavers by non polluting the water and helping beavers drink cleaner and safer water. My final reason of how we can save beavers is by stopping deforestation, because we need beavers to create their dams and stop flooding so we can live and thrive. 

Creative Exploration

After I wake up, I get in the water just to warm up to it. Secondly I start building the dam near my home so my family and I are safe from incoming water and waves. Lastly I head out after I’m done to get some wood and sticks for food.
