Habitat  

The Red Cockaded Woodpecker lives in pine forests in Southeast America   

Diet  

The Red Cockaded Woodpecker eats seeds, berries, and types of fruits and plant  

Role in Ecosystem  

A keystone species in Southeastern U.S pine ecosystems.   

Behavior  

The Red-Cockaded Woodpecker nests in the spring, nesting inside of the cavities in old pine trees, and lives in groups of 4-6. 

Human Impact

The Red Cockaded Woodpecker is endangered due to habitat loss, specifically chopping down the old pines the Red-Cockaded Woodpeckers live in. We also cause fires which destroys the normal habit of trees they live in, making hardwood instead which is not their preferred habit. Humans affect this animal negatively by driving extinction. Also the animals affect humans by restricting land uses due to threatened or endangered status.

Is so long heard of  

Birds chirp and   

A river flows  

So long that worm
