Habitat
American Eels inhabit freshwaters. While females usually prefer reservoirs and coastal rivers, in while males usually locate near tidal areas.
Diet
Mostly fish, insects, worms, snails, clams, and crabs!
Role in Ecosystem
American Eels as top predator and Key prey.
Behavior
Nocturnal, catadromous bottom-dwellers that spend most of their lives in freshwater!
Human Impact
American Eels are trapped and angled then served pickled, fried, and smoked. The American Eel is mainly served in Japan and Europe.
Creative Exploration
I hide during the day, and at night i move away. I look around above and down under, in search of something to cure my hunger. Suddenly i’m in a chase, I start running like i’m in a race. I run faster than ever, i managed to escape the chase and hid for what felt like forever. Then finally i found a fish and ate it and swam away and far away.
