When I arrive at the monitoring site, I notice the strong smell of fish. (SMELLS LIKE MONEY!). I can hear the bell on the door of the seafood market next to me, as happy customers leave w/their fresh fish and shout “see you next week!” 

The clues that this is going to be a great day for water quality monitoring are the bright sun shining down and no trash in sight.
