Early Education Memories

Collection:

Prompt: Which educators pushed you the hardest or offered support when you needed it the most?

My freshman year of college, I had switched majors, and I was already thinking about dropping out. However, my drawing professor, of all people named Joshua Knight, convinced me to keep going, and eventually he convinced me that I could draw a self-portrait, which I told myself I would never be able to do. But it happened, and once I did that, he was right. It bolstered my confidence, and I was able to continue my studies and thrive the rest of the way.

I would also talk to the lady that watched me before kindergarten while my parents worked. These are some of the earliest memories that I have. And this is before my mother had passed. So, I talked to her about how life had been since then, and I would probably give her the biggest hug in the world, because that was certainly some of my earliest memories, and they happen to be of education.
